Dattaw-mid, Dattaw-taung (Dattaw hill), Mogok Valley, Mogok Township, Pyin-Oo-Lwin District, Mandalay Region, Myanmar

North of Dattaw-pyant, a relatively small (70x30 meters) gem-bearing pegmatite deposit is situated where various gems are reovered in opet-pit schemes.

In 2001 radioactive minerals were discovered in this area and by 2003 the Myanmar Ministry of Science & Technology occupied a considerable area at Dattaw-mid and was engaged in intense sample-mining and prospecting for radioactive minerals and ores, using deep-core-drilling equipment. At this time gem mining at Dattaw-mid has ceased.
