Huanzala Mine, Huanzala, Huallanca District, Bolognesi Province, Ancash, Peru

Green to pink fluorite, very rarely with colour-changing. The colour-changing type is green in artificial light and blue in daylight, caused by a strong blue fluorescence under LWUV ("daylight fluorescence"). The largest faceted pink fluorite weighs 187,65 ct.

The Huanzala mine is a source of huge pyrite crystals up to about 20 cm. The best quality material is faceted in Thailand into so-called "marcasite" jewelry.
