Lay-bin-sin, Mogok Valley, Mogok Township, Pyin-Oo-Lwin District, Mandalay Region, Myanmar

This mine is adjacent to the Ho-mine-sho on the west bank of Yeni Creek. The mine has been in operation for many years, producing mostly red spinels, rubies, star rubies and fewer blue sapphires.

A 47-carat ruby (initially thought to be red spinel) was found here by a group of miners. The stone was trimmed to 38.12 carats and faceted into 25.55 carats, mixed oval-cut.
