Htin-shu-myaing, Bernardmyo, Mogok Township, Pyin-Oo-Lwin District, Mandalay Region, Myanmar

The gem mining area of Htin-shu-myaing (Oak Forest) is situated at the most southerly point of the Injauk Plateau, adjacent to the Mogok-Panlin dirt road.

Rubies, blue sapphires and spinels are found in the alluvium. Star rubies, star sapphires and schorl are also found. Most of these gems are of low-to-medium quality. Usually between one and two carats, they are suitable only for cabochons. By 2005 the mine was closed.
