Yauricocha, Huarochirí Province, Lima, Peru
The best Peruvian malachite was found in the past at Yauricocha. It formed rare botryoidal aggregates up to 4 cm thick with banded structure. These specimens are exceedingly rare and most of them were found back in the 1970s.Ref: J.Hyrsl (2012) Gemstones of Peru, p. 53
