Islamia trench, Mingora emerald deposit, Swat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan

Rather large (up to 5 to 6 g) euhedral emerald crystals are enclosed in talc-rich rock in close proximity (15 to 20 cm) to quartz lenses, up to 2 m in length and 1 m in thickness.
