Gujar Killi Emerald Deposit, Shangla District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan

Emerald deposit in the upper reaches of the Swat River near Shangla pass is of economic importance due to the high quality of emeralds. Talc-dolomite schists containing four emerald-bearing zones, up to 100 m and more in length and several meters in thickness.
