Chabazite

Chabazite is named after Greek "chabazios" - tune or melody, one of twenty stones named in the poem "Peri lithos", which extolled the virtues of minerals (Orpheus, Greece, early centuries AD).

Chabazite forms transparent to translucent, brown, pink, reddish, yellowish, orange, white and colourless crystals that resemble slightly squashed cubes. Aggregates form crusts and granular masses.

Chabazite is rarely faceted because clean facet rough is scarce.
