Round Brilliant

The standard Round Brilliant is the most widely-used cut for diamond and many other gemstones due to its simplicity and exceptional brilliance.

The cut was originally developed by Marcel Tolkowsky in 1919. The modern cut consists of 57 facets plus an optional culet on the base of the stone.
